Reopen Brandon Embry’s case. Find out who murdered Brandon Embry and prosecute them.

The Issue

Sarah Lee is a mom on a mission; fighting to get her son Brandon Embry’s case reopened. Everyone who sees the images of Brandon’s broken body knows that the Asheboro Police Department didn’t do their jobs, for whatever reason that may be. There are so many twists and turns to this case; way more than I could say here. Two mysterious women, Police corruption and collusion with the medical examiner to change medical records.  It’s time for Asheboro PD to correct their wrongs and truly find out what happened to Brandon Embry! They have many things to answer for but the most important one is to answer the question : WHO MURDERED BRANDON EMBRY

Brandon Embry was an intelligent, introverted young man. He followed in his mother Sarah Lee’s footsteps by joining the Navy in 2005 at 18 years old. After his navy career ended, he attended the University of Washington. In 2018, he decided to move closer to his family in North Carolina where he settled in the city of Asheboro.

After receiving some odd and out-of-character text messages from "Brandon", his mother made multiple attempts to reach him.  She had not physically spoken to him since his 33rd birthday on September 7, 2019. After several days, on September 12, 2019, Sarah and her daughter Rachel decided to drive over to Brandon’s apartment to check on him and see why he wasn't responding. After seeing his truck in the parking lot and no answer at his door, they called the police.

The police entered his apartment and found him naked, heavily bruised and bleeding from the back of his head. There was also dried blood all over his face. Paramedics immediately rushed Brandon to the local hospital. Sarah asked the hospital staff what they thought happened to him. They said he was so bad 'he looked like someone hit him by a car and had been down for days'. He was bruised from head to toe. He had scratches, cuts and gouges all over his body. Sadly, Brandon succumbed to his injuries on September 13, 2019. After executing search warrants on his car and apartment, the police turned Brandon's apartment over to his family.

Trying to shield his wife, his stepfather and his stepfather’s brother went to begin cleaning up Brandon‘s apartment. Call it a motherly instinct - Sarah felt she just had to go see things for herself.

When she walked in his apartment she couldn’t believe the state; it looked like a bomb went off. She walked into Brandon’s bedroom first seeing a perfect outline of her beloved son's head print in blood on the floor. She looked around the room. There were clothes and trash piled high all over his floor. The floor was wet. The walls and bed were stained in his blood. She walked into his bathroom. The fixtures were torn off the walls. The toilet was torn up from the tile. The top of the toilet tank was broken in half. The mirror on the wall was broken with clumps of hair in the shards. The wall was cracked, and there was blood all over it.

Sarah noticed the blood had streaks through it -like someone had sprayed cleaner on the walls. She instructed her husband to stop cleaning and called the police back over. They took the male detective around the apartment showing him what they saw. When his female partner arrived sometime later, she floated the ludicrous theory Brandon was on meth and beat himself to death. The toxicology report cleared that up, and the only thing in his system was a high dose of sleep aid. The medical examiner ruled that Brandon died from pneumonia, totally dismissing the clear injuries inflicted on his body.
A woman claiming to be Brandon’s girlfriend contacts the family. After a few odd conversations with her, Sarah begins to record their conversations because they are too bizarre. Sarah is convinced she is involved in Brandon’s case or knows who is. She claims to be the love of Brandon’s life but never asked about his funeral. After passing the info onto the police, they ask to speak to her. The night before her interview, she freaked out about having to go to the police station and repeatedly told Sarah how stressed out she was. They interview her and ask to copy her phone. She agrees, but she deletes all data before they could obtain any real evidence against her. The police are then forced to request a search warrant for her phone. The lead detective tells Sarah that he will get back to her once the report comes back. Weeks later, her husband calls the police. He is told the lead detective was taken off of the case and promoted to head of traffic. They begin to feel Brandon’s case isn’t being taken seriously. The new lead detective was the same detective who floated the 'meth theory'; now she was onto a new one. She said she thought Brandon smoked synthetic marijuana which never showed up in the evidence collected or in Brandon’s system. The medical examiner suspiciously changes her findings to "undetermined" and says he may have taken a substance that metabolized. After very little effort put forth, On February 27th, 2020, Brandon’s case is closed. The police department then disgracefully destroy all evidence collected - except the rape kit. All DNA evidence, all weapons that could’ve inflicted Brandon‘s wounds were destroyed by Asheboro PD.

Looking for answers, Sarah decided to take matters into her own hands. She requested Brandon’s medical records to do her own research. What she found was appalling. On February 18th, 2019 - about 7 months before his murder - Brandon was hospitalized in the ICU with respiratory distress. After researching the labs that were run and his treatment plans per the medical records, she came to the conclusion that he was very likely poised by Ethylene-Glycol - A.K.A. antifreeze.

Brandon also became sick multiple times over the 7 month period before his murder - with the same symptoms : severe stomach pain and respiratory distress. Sarah knew her son's murder didn’t just happen in a vacuum; it occurred slowly over months of agony for Brandon. The more information Sarah collected, the more evidence pointed to her son being murdered. WHO MURDERED BRANDON EMBRY???
