Aldi and Waitrose confirm stores will be closed on Boxing Day 2020

In previous years Aldi and Waitrose have kept their stores closed on Boxing Day. I wrote to them to confirm that this would be the case again in 2020.

Aldi confirmed ALL branches would be closed and Boxing Day is a paid holiday for their staff.

Waitrose said the majority of their stores would be closed, with some exceptions such as those located at service stations.

It's great that these stores will be closed on Boxing Day, hopefully other supermarkets will see that it can be done and will follow!
