ASD Board of Directors and the ASD Alumni Association: PLEASE HELP SAVE GALLAUDET HALL AT ASD (American School for the Deaf) !

We the Concerned ASD Alumni request the Board of Directors of American School for the Deaf (ASD) in West Hartford, CT to suspend the demolition of Gallaudet Hall and give the alumni more time to seek ways to preserve it until a later date.

Even though the ASD Board of Directors and the ASD Alumni Association did make some efforts in past to contact alumni about their concerns and plans regarding Gallaudet Hall, unfortunately, those efforts were not enough. Too many alumni were never contacted, and as a result, never even knew about the demolition plans and plans for construction of a new building until very recently. The Gallaudet Building, which has beautiful and historical architectural features, is a very valuable part of ASD, and is treasured by many alumni!

Therefore, it is only fair that the alumni be given more time to find ways to save the old and treasured Gallaudet Hall. This would include consulting with the Connecticut Preservation Agency regarding this lovely, old and treasured building.

Please help by supporting this petition to save Gallaudet Hall! Thank you very much for any support and help you can provide! Please help spread the word!
