And bring back the variety of options in Corey Union. 

This semester, ASC has built a new student center located near Park Center, which includes a new all-you-care-to-eat dining hall called The Bistro. While the intentions are good, the underlying consequences have caused on-campus students to be forced to buy an all-access dining pass, and took away the ability to use meals at Corey Union.

Corey Union itself has seen four of the popular lunch and dinner spots close, leaving only two chains, Subway and Dunkin Donuts, left, in addition to Raquette. The hours at Hilltop and Dragon's Den make it so that they each close early. 

There are many reasons why ASC should reopen the places in Corey, as well as to change back to the old meal plan options. Limiting competition drives prices up and, though ASC claims they are a non-profit organization, they end up making more money than they were before. They claim the money goes back into SUNY Cortland, yet the leftover money created a lack of variety, subsequently forcing students to eat at either Neubig or the Bistro.

For off-campus students, it is oftentimes not convenient to have a sit-down meal at one of these places. Instead, they find themselves having a quick lunch between classes or a dinner before a night class...Usually at Corey Union. Now that Corey only has three places to grab something, all of which are fairly unhealthy, off-campus students have even more limited options to eat on-campus than before. 

Does ASC except those with Connections to run downtown every time they want to eat something between classes? Do they expect students to be happy that they can no longer use meals at Subway, Dunkin, Raquette, Hilltop, AND Dragon's Den? And now Bookmark and the new coffee shop Fuel?

ASC is supposed to cater to students, not to their own financial interests. Sign this petition to try to bring back the additional venues in Corey. 

ASC should reopen the other places in Corey. If they cannot do so, they need to consider extending hours at Hilltop and Dragon's Den (Old Main) to cater better to students who live nearer to those eateries. Additionally, if at all possible, they should go back to the old meal plan allowing students to use meals at places other than Neubig and Bistro.
