We the undersigned, as citizens, business owners, and visitors to Asbury Park recognize the need for and the benefits of a vibrant Main Street that is safe for everyone, especially the most vulnerable.  We support the road reconfiguration for Main Street/NJRT 71 which would be fully funded by NJDOT.  We believe the city should rescind their resolution to reject this plan.  We believe that Asbury Park needs to implement the road reconfiguration on Main Street as part of a larger plan to address safe streets to be in compliance with the city's own existing Complete Streets Policy.  Asbury Park is under redevelopment and streets are being resurfaced so this plan needs to be accepted NOW.
