Delhi Government had created Visarjan / Idol Immersion Ponds in the midst of residential colony of Mayur Vihar Phase 1, Delhi, India; during Ganesh Chaturthi in the first week of September'2019.

Now, after a month these ponds are breeding mosquitoes, stink and are full of debris. 

These ponds are certainly health hazard for the residents because of Dengue, Chikungunya and other mosquitoes borne diseases which spreads mainly due to breeding of mosquitoes in such stagnant water bodies.

Ironically, Shri Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, is running a mass public campaign on Dengue eradication and education.

Several communications to the authorities have been made to clear these ponds and action on this.

I am afraid that this year Durga Puja immersion would also be held at these ponds, which is so dreadful and matter of concern for the residents of Pocket One,  Mayur Vihar, Phase 1, Delhi.

Kindly support this petition to remove and clear these immersion and visarjan ponds, immediately, from the grounds next to Pocket One, Mayur Vihar, Delhi Metro Pink Line Station.
