Delhi Government has left no stone unturned to put students future on stake! While ABVP Delhi gave various memorandums to the Delhi CM, students issues were ignored. Room rent waiver, penalising coaching institutes for charging high fees in pandemic, psychological helpline number, free data pack and all such demands have gone down the drain. Moreover the state universities have increased the fees and are demanding students to pay lacs of amounts.

ABVP’s Charter of Demands

1. No fee hike of any type in any state or central university.
Few State Universities like IPU, NITD and DTU have hiked their fees already. State universities must withdraw this hike immediately.

2. All state and central universities should charge only minimal tuition fees and no other non-usable component should not be charged.
State universities (IPU, DTU, NSUT, NITD) are charging full fees.

3. Option to be given for fee payment in instalments for all courses across state universities and more time to be given. No late fees charge should be levied.
Problem pertains in almost all state universities

4. All unused fees components of last year (development fees, exams fees, hostel charges, mess charges, library fees) be returned to students of state universities or be Waived off completely where not charged yet.

5. Release the 3-month held salary of all Delhi Government fully funded colleges of Delhi University for efficient teaching of students.

6. Exempt charges of water and electricity of all state and central university hostels to benefit students as it is directly charged from students.

7. Stop private coaching institutes to force students to pay large sum and issue guideline for payment in instalment failing which criminal action should be pursued.

8. Sanitisation of student areas, colleges, hostels, PG’s by the government to ensure student safety.

9. Data Pack for all Delhi Students.

10. Provide for safe accommodation of students returning to delhi for academic activities.
