I would like to urge Chief Minister of Delhi Mr. Arvind Kejriwal to quickly enable live tracking of GPS buses for public.

Today most of the people do not rely on DTC bus service as they are not sure when the bus will  reach their nearest bus stop. During afternoon hours or late night, most of the buses run with very few people on board.

Although DTC bus route chart and time table is available but given the poor traffic situation in Delhi, many buses get stuck in jams or break down. Owing to unavailability of live status of buses and time being of utmost importance in today's life, many people then start trusting their own vehicle over DTC and eventually stop using DTC bus service at all.

The usage of private vehicles not only add to existing chaos on road  but also adds to already polluted air of Delhi.

DTC cluster buses already has GPS in them and other DTC buses have also been fitted with GPS recently. It shouldn't be hard for goverment to enable the live feed for public through a new mobile app or tie up with some existing apps that provide these service in countries like London and Paris.

Once this service is enabled, it would enable people to plan their travel better and reduce usage of private transport automatically and thus make Delhi a better place to live.
