The finance bill 2017 introduces tremendous opacity in political funding and removes whatever transparency remains in the political funding of parties in India. In an effort to create a better country, clean politics and clean funding of political parties is the need of the hour.

Instead of increasing funding transparency, the government has decreased transparency. This needs to stop.
