This is a petition to AE for neglecting the severity on how much botting affects AQWorlds.

Botting is a problem since past, but now the botter population is growing up, probably more than your last swipe against them ages ago. There are even players proud of being a botter, brag about it and promote bots to other players. That ruins the gaming experience for those good players. The botting destroys AQW in a way more serious than you think, and not to mention all the stress botters bring to your poor hamster-running servers.

Whenever we try to report cheaters/botters now, mods keep telling us to report them in-game instead, while the "Cheating" category has been removed. Also, the botters are actually immune to /reports. You are better off by simply tell us not to report at all.

Nythera even decided that screenshot cheating proofs will no longer be accepted. While it's understandable that someone can use Trainer to change account display name and sabotage a good player, but shouldn't you still look into those proofs on case by case basis? Completely rejecting screenshot proofs give the cheaters a perfect opportunity to spread the cheats publicly especially on Social Networks like Facebook, since non of you is going to do anything against them anyway.

Thanks to all these, the only method now is to wait for a mod to catch them red-handed in-game. That is like scooping needles in the sea, it's extremely ineffective.

If you are thinking that botting doesn't affect your revenue, you are wrong. Now, if a player can't farm Reputation for its Class, instead of considering the AC version, that person will be thinking: "Why should I spend 2,000 ACs on a Rep Class, when I can simply download a bot for free and finish my Reputation soon?" It has already became a risk-free choice.

You can definitely focus on your other game developments and consider dealing with the Cheaters as a "waste of time". The bots are developing, so does the amount of players taking up bots.

Just wait till you are done with your other important game developments, and that's probably when 90% of AQW players are using bots, that will be too late for you to do anything against it.

We wish to see AQW bring back "Cheating" category to the in-game report, release newer scripts from time to time to hold back the continuous development of bots, and hope that Player Support Team can accept screenshot proof to a certain extend.
