Arthur Blank and the Atlanta Falcons: Fire Head Coach Raheem Morris Immediately

The Issue

As a lifelong fan of the Atlanta Falcons, I am fed up with years of losing, poor drafting, and, most notably, subpar coaching hires. As a franchise that has only had 14 winning seasons in its 60-year existence, the Falcons have had their fair share of bad head coaches, including Dan Henning, Marion Campbell, and the infamous Bobby Petrino. Raheem Morris ranks near the top of this infamous group of losers.

Why? Well, first off, Morris is basically a bump on a log. He brings absolutely nothing good to the table. He can't motivate his team to get off the bus for important games, as seen during Atlanta's humiliating 30-0 shutout to the Carolina Panthers. He struggles to assemble a strong coaching staff, as evidenced by the failed coordinator hires of Jimmy Lake and Zac Robinson. He can never seem to take accountability for his shortcomings, throwing players and coaches alike under the bus (see Ike Hilliard). Moreover, he is hands down the worst in-game coach in all of football. Can't manage a clock, can't make in-game adjustments, and the Falcons, week in and week out, show up undisciplined and unprepared. 12 players on the field.  And then 10- in the most important play of the game. The latest example: an EMBARASSING 34-10 loss IN YOUR OWN BUILDING to the lowly Miami Dolphins. There's only one head coach this happens under in the NFL: the one residing in Atlanta, Georgia.

Are the Falcons a Super Bowl contender? No. Not even close. However, this is a team that possesses young talent on both sides of the ball and should be producing better results than it has in recent years. As the Falcons are on track to miss the playoffs for an eighth consecutive year, it is primarily due to the decisions on and off the field that have consistently failed the franchise, such as hiring a proven loser like Morris, who has not delivered results. Remember, this is not Morris's first stint as a head coach. He's already got a track record of falling flat on his face many years ago as a head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, possessing a 17-31 record and a 4-7 record as Atlanta's interim head coach in 2020.

Join me in demanding that owner Arthur Blank right an obvious wrong and fires Raheem Morris. Thank you all for your support. Rise Up!
