There have been reports of cyber bullying experienced by sections of Ghanaians  and users of digital online loan apps who have not been licensed by the Bank of Ghana  to carry out their operations.

These apps can be found on Google play store or may be shared as a link.

These apps offer loans at a varying interest rate and payment terms. They give 100 cedis and you pay 150 cedis after 6 days.

They go ahead to publish lenders pictures to contacts  claiming they are wanted criminals.

 There have been many instances that many people did not take loan from them but they keep harassing them on their social media platforms and sending threat messages to their contacts sometimes branding them as wanted criminals. 

According to a cybersecurity expert, in the past year, "at least 64 people" have died by suicide after being “threatened” and humiliated by online loan apps in. INDIA and we do not want this to happen in Ghana..
