It's been two months now that ASIRT has had the investigation report. As of yet they haven't completed their review.

I've been in contact with the head of the team a few times to find out some details about unexplained delays, but haven't gotten anything solid regarding a timeline for completion.

I'm hoping it will be done this year, but right now it seems likely it won't be done until 2020.

In terms of the civil suit, my original firm still has the file, but hasn't passed it on to a lawyer within their organization to complete the work. I'm being told it's too complex to address and everyone is so busy with their existing caseload no one could do it justice.

I have gotten a response back from the hospital to say my medical files have been amended, but not destroyed, as their legislation prevents them from destroying medical evidence. They've been moved to the record of a fictitious patient instead. Small comfort.
