Despite repeated assurances by my lawyers that this Appeal would be heard before the Court closed for the Summer, then pushed back to the Fall, then pushed back to before the New Year, then pushed back to early February, the court date the lawyers for the respondents demanded is in April. This is a full year after I was detained and my original Habeas Corpus hearing which was denied. I never agreed to this delayed date. It was decided without any discussion with me. There are other issues that need to be examined as well. The lawyer representing the hospital in this matter is the former chief adjudicator of human rights for NL, which is why human rights no longer exist in this province. He is a shit heel of a human being. I'd post the 2nd respondents factum later on with notes that I've compiled illustrating how they're trying to twist the truth to legitimize their brand of punitive psychiatry. I have a phone call with my lawyers coming up in 15 minutes. Not very pleased with the timing of this hearing. I hope they have something positive to say.
