I filed a complaint with the CBSC (Canadian Broadcasting Standards Council) regarding the use of subliminal devices in private broadcasting. The text of the initial complaint is below: Station: CBC and various other online outlets Program or Person:Conservative Government of Canada Date: Noticed since July Time: On-going Comments: How does one register a complaint regarding the use of subliminal devices on CBC and other media outlets? There are campaign photos, symbols, hand gestures and phrases being used by the Conservative government to send subliminal messages to the Canadian public and the larger International audience. Some of these gestures, symbols and ideas are rooted in foreign cultures so they're not readily apparent to Canadians who lack a deeper multicultural experience. There's also the issue of using them using polymorphic security warnings to reduce critical thinking ability while maintaining the attention of Canadians. This is coming in the form of repeated warnings of 'Jihadi Terrorism', which evolves every week to include new threats of being beheaded in our beds or attacked in rural regions. The evolving nature of the threats make it polymorphic, which keeps our attention, but the constant inundation of external threat stimuli reduces our ability to think coherently. In a sense, they are like they boy who cried wolf. The current Conservative platform of evolving fear and xenophobia is using this brain manipulation technique along with other forms of subliminal advertising. If your organization could flag the issue, it would eliminate their ability to continue committing these kinds of subliminal assaults against Canadians. I'd like to file a full complaint, listing the known elements that I've found in their campaign material, including government funded ad campaigns like the 'Economic Action Plan.'
