The prop ban in nz is ruining armageddons for us cosplayers, we spend months on our props just to have them taken at the door. There is no consistency they sell real weapons inside that people use as toys regardless of the "rules" surrounding it.

It's not fair on us, we understand the danger concerns but you can't do that and have solid wood or steel swords/knives/bows etc for sale and no control over it. In the last 2 years it has become out of control from just being sharp steel (which is fair enough) to now even wooden staffs or anything solid. To get in your prop pretty much has to be flimsy and breakable and none of us want that. I will send this to all of the organizers. The general public can buy real ones and use them but we can't make our own and bring them in. Be consistent at least or you will loose a lot of money due to us not being able to make our costumes the way we like.
