Parents, families, and members of the community,

Many of us were disheartened, disappointed, and shocked that the Arlington Diocese issued a directive requiring our schools to allow parents to opt out of masks for their students. Our Catholic schools led the way with strong protocols rooted in science and data, and as a result our students have been to attend school safely since the fall of 2020. This rapid protocol change - with little implementation consideration - is putting our students, teachers, administrators, and staff at risk during the current Omicron surge. As Catholics, we pride ourselves on our commitment to protecting life - this is inherently a pro-life issue as it helps keep all members of our community safe. Please sign this petition to let Bishop Burbidge and the Office of Catholic Schools know that we strongly urge them to reinstate the mask requirement.
