Hi Everyone, Please sign this petition against a huge development (176 apartments) proposed for the Mugar parcel in East Arlington, one of the few remaining pieces of open land in town. This parcel sits between Route 2 and Lake Street. Much of it is wetlands that serve as a sponge to absorb excess water from rain, etc. In the next month, the Zoning Board of Appeals will decide if this project can go forward. If they allow it, this project will bring increased flooding to the neighborhood, make Thorndike Field even less usable for town sports(it already has a flooding issue), increase Lake St. traffic density, create over enrollment stresses at Hardy School, strain town systems and services, and result in the loss of habitat and open land.
For more information, please read and sign the petition, which is here: https://www.change.org/SaveTheMugarWetlands
