The hearing for 47 Spy Pond is two days away. Once again, this is the most important meeting for the public to attend regarding this proposed project. If you are able to attend, please be prepared to briefly express your views to the Commission during the hearing. The meeting is normally held at the Annex on the 2nd floor. I will send an update if the location changes. Please arrive a few minutes early. To remind folks, 47 Spy Pond Lane is currently a lot (zoned for a single family house) on Spy Pond that has one house on it. The existing house sits outside the 100' buffer zone around Spy Pond. Seaver Construction proposes splitting the lot in two and building two large houses within that 100' buffer zone around the Pond. This will stress Spy Pond in terms of water runoff impact, impact on wildlife, and other effects. If Seaver's project is approved, it will set a negative precedent for future construction on Spy Pond.
