On January 18th, 2017 a Lonoke County Probation Officer and a local church pastor, Mark Brooke, was arrested on charges of "Solicitation of Prostitution". However because of the way the current laws are worded Mr. Brooke was able to get off Scot-free. Mr. Booke is able to maintain a position working within the city of Ward. 

We need change! Mayor Art Brooke says that since there was no conviction he saw no reason to suspend his son, Mark Brooke from working with the city. We need the laws changed to include probation officers in cases like this where Mark Brooke abused his power to solicit sex from people that feared him and his comments that he could make them go to jail. The people want this law to change so that it includes people like Mark Brooke so that they can be charged with sexual assault and not be able to get off with nothing!
