Rodeos hurt and kill innocent animals for entertainment. Animals are forced to perform cruel acts, many suffer injuries and die, especially while cowboys practice the skill over and over to be show ready. Rodeos in fact encourage bully behavior and is exemplified by rodeo performers and patrons who are well know to be aggressive towards anyone who questions their cruel tradition. Rodeos also expose young children to violence towards animals, which is well documented to be detrimental to developing minds. We are demanding the end of this unpatriotic cruel “Wild West” tradition and urging Arizona to recognize rodeo entertainment as something of our barbaric past instead.
