The Issue

We, the undersigned, are calling for the immediate resignation of Luke Mosiman and Rachel Hope from all leadership roles within the Arizona Young Republicans, and for any Arizona lawmakers affiliated with them—including advisory board members—to publicly sever ties and step down if they refuse.

The recent Politico exposé revealing a leaked group chat involving top Young Republican leaders, including Mosiman and Hope, exposed hundreds of racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic, and violently misogynistic comments. Messages in the chat included slurs, Holocaust references, talk of gas chambers, rape threats, and one participant writing “I love Hitler.”

Mosiman, in particular, has a documented history of promoting extremist views. He attended and praised events hosted by white nationalist groups aligned with the groyper movement, defended Turning Point USA figures tied to this ideology, and even downplayed associations with Nick Fuentes—a known white nationalist—calling his speeches “not bad.” This is not guilt by association. These are active, repeated choices.

Despite national condemnation, including from the Young Republican National Federation and the Arizona Republican Party, Mosiman and Hope have refused to take responsibility or resign. Instead, they dismissed the backlash as a “witch hunt.” This defiance is not leadership—it’s complicity.

We demand accountability. Arizona cannot allow leaders who condone or excuse this behavior to remain in positions of influence over young voters and future public officials. We also call on State Rep. Matt Gress, State Sen. Jake Hoffman, Nancy Cottle, and any other listed advisory board members of the Arizona Young Republicans to issue public statements disavowing the remarks—and resign if they refuse to do so.

Silence is not neutrality. It is endorsement.

Arizona deserves leaders who reflect our values—not those who enable hate.
