Stop the surcharge on money transfers to Haiti, no safety, no social equity, no $1.50

Stop the surcharge on money transfers to Haiti, no safety, no social equity, no $1.50

The Issue

The surcharge is not helping the impoverished people in any way, that surcharge is only fueling the widespread government corruption, the people of Haiti doesn’t benefit from that surcharge in any shape or form. That surcharge is another burden on a nation subjected to kidnappings, food insecurity, joblessness, international punishment and injustice, global racism. It’s time to leave the samaritain’s purse alone, stop the $1.50 surcharge on Haiti bound money transfers. The Haitian leaders from 2011 and beyond have imposed and maintained this surcharge supposedly to fund projects like building schools, hospitals, improving infrastructure and national security, ect, however since then all the above steadily declined to give way to legalized gangs, extortion, heinous rapes and kidnappings with outrageous ransoms, inflation, gruesome crimes, homelessness just to name a few. Haitians are humans too, join us in demanding an end to this decade long extortion by the Haitian government and allies on the poorest people of the Western Hemisphere as they call us, the Haitian people. The end of this policy can put a day’s meal back on the table of starving Haitian family or pay for life saving medicine among other benefits. At the time of this petition $1.5 us dollar is worth 150 Haitian gourdes. Stop collecting the $1.50 on money transfers to Haiti!
