The local people of the Isle of Bute were deeply saddened to learn that Bute Brew Co, a celebrated and successful local start-up, has been forced to relocate to Glasgow due to a lack of reasonably priced and appropriately-sized business premises on the island. We urge Argyll and Bute Council and the Scottish government, to invest in low-cost business premises on the Isle of Bute. There are abundant abandoned sites that could be repurposed in order to support a thriving local economy.
