The postal service in South Molton as well as many other areas is becoming almost non existent. I have seen and read many frustrated "customers, meaning me and you) on Facebook regarding the service or lack of it and thought that rather than to voice our concerns there that I'd start this petition.

As an example, our post last home delivery date was 10th August 2023. Our household alone has missed much important mail, for the likes of Hospital appointments, bank letters to name but a few. I know that people have been saying that if we go up to our sorting office the posties will only be more than happy to look to see if there is any post.

My argument is like others (mentioned on Facebook) that we are paying for a service, of which is not up to standard and not getting. Why should we have to put ourselves out when it is not our job to.

Royal Mail was privatised in 2013, and since this as well as the recent shareholders pay and postal service cuts this service is just getting poorer and poorer. 

Post is not as important as shareholder profits. Royal Mail has been deliberately run down. Pay and conditions have been reduced and a number of people have followed the "free market" and got better jobs.

If Royal mail want to employ and retain staff they should offer better pay and conditions or people will use their rights to not work for a company that puts profit before service.

It is in everyone's interest for immediate action for this petition to be heard, Let's get the support that this petition needs.
