First of all, a huge thank you for signing our call to protect the coastal path! That's 1000 signatures so far and still growing every day. Please keep sharing and spreading the word, we are still meeting people every day who don't realise what's planned - bridges, railings, widening, tarmac, and felling of trees. 

Meanwhile, how do we measure the value of this place? We're trying to build a collection of evidence to show the decision makers the truth of how this path is VERY much used and loved in its current form. It is not a disused railway line, and we feel comparisons that are often made to the Comber Greenway are disingenuous. It's a wild and special place where we can get close to nature and regenerate our mental health.

So we need your help. Do you have any particular favourite spots, or stories you could share of good days out with friends and family? Encounters with the various wild creatures that live along our unspoilt coastline, seals, otters, badgers, foxes? Have you listened to the bats at dusk along the path, or watched the Aurora Borealis from there in the dark?  Please write to us at foranotherpath@gmail.com, a few lines will do or tell us a whole story, and photographs will be wonderful to receive. We will endeavour to do this justice in a little booklet or with your permission use them on our website.  We need to build the evidence, and make the case to the council and the DFI for keeping the path as natural and unspoilt as possible. 

Please keep encouraging others to sign the petition! And if you need help putting together an email to go to the planning department, or your local Councillors, drop us a line too at foranotherpath@gmail.com. Together we can persuade them to put the investment into an inland alternative, where the cycling infrastructure is more desperately needed.
