Father Judge SENIORS Want a REAL Graduation Ceremony

Father Judge SENIORS Want a REAL Graduation Ceremony
The Issue
As the Class of 2020, we realize the concerns about graduation are minor compared to what is happening in the world today. It’s hard to realize that we won’t get to walk across the stage in front of family and friends. The decision to cancel and have a virtual graduation is premature, rude, and dismissive. All we have work for over the last 12 years has been stripped from us. We lost months of memories. This is a milestone that we have waited for all our life. We deserve a " traditional" graduation. We should be able to celebrate our achievements. As the Class of 2020, want the pictures and memories of being in our cap and gown and being with family, teachers and administrators that helped us get to this point.
A virtual graduation will not give us that. After June 4, 2020, we will part our separate ways. This will be our last time together. We need to be valued not only as students but as individuals leaving for college, entering the Armed Forces or the workplace.
Where is the justice as on April 18, 2020, nearly 1000 Air Force cadets graduated on their field in Colorado? While at the same time, the US Army is set to graduate at West Point on June 13, 2020.
We as Father Judge Seniors Class of 2020 deserve the right to receive our diploma and have a graduation ceremony on our home field. We can celebrate together while protecting the health and safety of all involved.
