SAVE OUR SCHOOL!!

The Archdiocese of Hartford is attempting to close St.Francis-St.Hedwig School in Naugatuck, CT with little warning. Over 150 students will be left without a Catholic School and some of the most amazing teachers will be without jobs. Father Sebastian Kos, the priest at St. Francis Church, has little interest in saving the school. Our town's Mayor, our State Representatives, our Senators and our entire Legislative Delegation are united and standing with us ENCOURAGING the Archdiocese to keep the ONLY Catholic school in Naugatuck open and give us the chance to increase enrollment and reorganize the school. St. Francis currently owns the former and now vacant St. Mary's and St. Hedwig properties which are planned to be sold. The proceeds from the sale should first and foremost assist the school in order to survive. We are requesting that the Archdiocese of Hartford give us the chance to raise funds, increase enrollment and craft a new day and a bright future for Catholic Education in Naugatuck. We all passionately want our Catholic Church to be strong and survive into the future, but it needs to start with creating well educated children raised in a Catholic environment. Thank you!
