The Issue
Khaspur is the last capital of Kachari ruling dynasty of NE India.The princely state was annexed by the Britishers in the year of 1832.After the independence, some of the places were used by sericulture Dept of Assam and maximum land encroached by tea growers involving a few locals. The ancient relics of the Dimasa kachari kingdom under threat. The govt should immediately devolope it as tourism spot in Cachar where locals can find means for livelihood and sentiments of Dimasa kachari community be also taken care of.
