Petition updateStop Abusing ChickensLet’s Keep Up The Momentum!
The Humane League
Mar 13, 2017
Thank you so much for helping achieve this monumental victory for millions of chickens! Aramark’s policy was a groundbreaking move that set in motion a wave of policies from several other major foodservice providers and launched the The Humane League’s 88% campaign, (http://88percentcampaign.com/). Using that momentum, The Humane League is bringing our demands right to Subway, the largest restaurant chain in the country and we are excited to get everyone involved! With over 27,000 locations in the US alone, a policy from Subway would have a massive impact on millions of chickens for generations to come. Help us achieve this exciting goal by taking the following actions to support the campaign. 1) Sign this Subway petition: https://www.change.org/p/subway-stop-supporting-cruelty-to-chickens 2) Email Subway leadership To: greco_s@subway.com, stewart_e@subway.com, eadie_c@subway.com, tilki_s@subway.com, shinn_m@subway.com Subject: I’m Joining the Subway Boycott! Body: I can't believe that Subway allows its suppliers to cram thousands of birds in dark filthy sheds and selectively breed them to grow unnaturally large within weeks of hatching! Several major restaurants, including Quiznos, have adopted comprehensive welfare policies for the chickens in their supply chain so why won’t Subway commit to the same EXACT policy? Supporting cruel and unsustainable factory farms is not ok with me and I will be boycotting Subway until you demand better standards for the chickens in Subway's supply chain 3) Tweet at Subway: https://ctt.ec/WlX86 Thank you so much! Together we will create a more compassionate world! -Marissa
