AQA significantly lower the grade boundaries for ACCN3 2016

AQA significantly lower the grade boundaries for ACCN3 2016
The Issue
This petition is about the 2016 A2 Accounting exam ACCN3, the exam included questions that were exceptionally challenging and impossible to answer in the allocated time of two hours.
Students around the country were prepared for this and learned the principle of accounting however, the questions were set at an exceptionally challenging level making it impossible to think, evaluate, judge and answer satisfactory in the allocated time of two hours as a result many students were left traumatised.
The knock on effect is fear of subsequent exams and the possibility of not gaining access to the university course they have worked so hard for.
The exam did not resembled any of the specimen paper or the past exams. some students found the layout confusing and many failed to see the last question due to the extreme stress that was build by the challenging questions that were worth very little marks thus, making it impossible to complete the exam in the allocated time.
Furthermore, some questions contained information that has not been included in the specification for A2 such as profit in relation to revenue this has upset many students aroung the country and parents, teachers as well as students fear they will end up with very low grade despite them having higher grade in AS.
We all request AQA to lower the grade boundary significantly so that student are not penalised by the mistakes made by chief examiners. We also request AQA to seek independent advice on that paper in order to analyse the difficulty of that paper.
