Los músicos de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Puerto Rico se unen en un llamado urgente solicitando a la Junta de Control Fiscal la aprobación del convenio colectivo que busca garantizar un aumento salarial y mejores condiciones de trabajo. El mismo fue acordado de buena fe entre el gremio de la Orquesta y su patrono, la Corporación de las Artes Musicales.

Este convenio es fundamental para que podamos continuar brindando nuestro arte y pasión al pueblo puertorriqueño. En los últimos 20 años, el costo de vida y la inflación han impactado severamente a la población. Nuestros músicos no han sido la excepción, ya que no han recibido un ajuste salarial en ese periodo.

La situación económica actual ha hecho que muchos de nosotros enfrentemos dificultades para cubrir nuestras necesidades básicas, recurriendo a trabajos secundarios, lo que afecta no solo a los músicos, sino también a nuestras familias y a la calidad del arte que ofrecemos.

  The musicians of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra come together in an urgent call requesting that the Financial Oversight and Management Board approve the collective bargaining agreement aimed at guaranteeing a salary increase and better working conditions. This agreement was reached in good faith between the orchestra's union and its employer, the Corporation of Musical Arts.

  This agreement is essential for us to continue providing our art and passion to the Puerto Rican people. In the last 20 years, the cost of living and inflation have severely impacted the population. Our musicians are no exception, as they have not received a salary adjustment during this period.

  The current economic situation has made it difficult for many of us to cover our basic needs, forcing us to take on secondary jobs, which affects not only the musicians but also our families and the quality of the art we offer.
