We are petitioning Thompson School District to reconsider Turner Middle School (TMS) PTO's request to allow us to raise money and install portable AC units in the outer classrooms with outside windows. 

The classrooms at TMS that need AC the most are the ones inside the school, with no outer windows. We are told that these classrooms have no way to effectively and efficiently vent portable AC units out, unfortunately.

There is an effective and efficient way in cooling down the rooms with outside windows (this was done at Berthoud Elementary School).

The district has said that TMS will not be allowed to have portable AC units installed in any of the classrooms (even the rooms with windows).

We are petitioning the school district to allow the outer rooms to have portable AC units. The community raises the money for this project (through TMS PTO). We would purchase a portable AC unit for each outer classroom with an outside window. 

Having some AC in the school is better than having nothing for the whole school.
