As a concerned citizen of Charlotte, NC, I urge the Chief of Police to approve outer carrier vests for all Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) officers. 

This request comes directly from the rank and file of CMPD who believe that these vests would significantly improve work conditions and be a much needed morale booster for the department. 

Outer carrier vests not only improve comfort and reduce back injuries but also provide better accessibility to essential equipment. These benefits are crucial for our officers who put their lives on the line every day to keep our community safe.
