Opponents are attacking these two co-locations, saying there is not enough space – that’s false! The buildings are severely underutilized — there are dozens of excess classrooms that could accommodate hundreds of additional students. Opponents claim co-location is harmful — but there are more than 100 district schools in Queens that are co-located with two or more schools (see map below). Co-location also saves taxpayer money!!
