Approve Midrin For Migraine Managment

The Issue

Midrin was a medication used to treat migraines. It was introduced in 1948 and uses Isometheptene as well as dichloralphenazone and acetaminophen to treat complex migraines. It was introduced before the 1962 Congressional act that required rigorous clinical trials for the FDA approval and was grandfathered in based on safety until 2009 when it was discontinued. because the FDA didn’t want to spend the money to do the trials for efficacy.

Migrain sufferers who know first hand how effective Midrin was, need this medication! It was effective and with little to no side effects. The FDA has let us down! When I ran out of my migraine medication I turned to Google to see how others felt about Midrin being discontinued and the response was overwhelming that everyone who knew how well it worked, wanted it back.

If you suffer from migraines or know someone who does, please sign this petition to alert the FDA that we NEED them to do what is necessary to provide us with this medication.
