Appoint Monty Allen as Constable - Nueces County Precint 4
The Issue
Commissioners Court will soon be filling the vacancy in the role of Constable for Precinct 4 of Nueces County. They will vote to make an appointment of a Constable to complete the current term through 2024.
Monty Allen has over 24 years of law enforcement experience, 18 of this with the Precinct 4 Constable’s office, 12 of which he served as the appointed Chief Deputy Constable. He has two children who are Port Aransas High School Graduates, and a daughter currently enrolled in primary school on Padre Island. He ran for election to this position in 2020 with two opponents and won in the primary election, in the run off he was narrowly defeated by the 30 year incumbent by 37 votes! Monty was the only candidate endorsed by CLEAT (the largest law enforcement coalition in Texas), Nueces County Republicans, and the Nueces County Sheriff’s Officer’s Association. Monty is a Master Level Peace Officer, Crisis Intervention Specialist, Active Shooter Trained, and has thousands of hours of continuing education training. Monty is well versed and familiar with Nueces County administrative processes, is civil service certified, and has 12 years of experience as a supervisor in the Precinct 4 office.
Monty is a proven leader, a seasoned officer, and an active and dedicated member of our community. He and his wife Siobhan Allen live on Padre Island, and previous to that resided in Port Aransas. Combined they served the Nueces County Justice System for 32 years. His experience and temperament are exactly what we need in our next Constable.
