The Issue

The UK Hospitality industry employs 3.2 million people, produces £130 billion of economic activity and generates £39 billion in tax for the UK Government. It is the third largest private sector employer, representing 10% of all UK employment.

Yet as it stands, does not have a direct representative in parliament. Currently it is merged in with arts and culture.

How can a sector as large as this just be simply sidelined.

A minister in parliament, specifically looking after the best interest of the hospitality sector is an absolute must for not only the survival but for its rejuvenation.

For too long, the industry as a whole has been allowed to be pretty much unregulated it needs redirection to help with employment and education across the nation.
