The foundation of any renowned educational institution rests on its leadership. Our University (RGUKT - APIIIT) is at a crossroads in its journey, requiring a strong, visionary leader who will not only continue its legacy but will also further its growth - a leader like Prof. Rajakumar, founding full-time Vice Chancellor from 3rd Feb 2010 to 17th Jan 2015.

Prof. Rajakumar's tenure saw the induction of an exemplary faculty from reputed institutions like IITs/NITs/Central universities. The subsequent years post-2014 marked his absence with some leaders more inclined towards political recommendations, triggering a distressing exodus of quality faculty. It's high time we reclaim our academic excellence by appointing the right leader. 

This appointment is not merely a matter of principle but personal to all of us who've been a part of this prestigious institution and witnessed degradation of academic standards. I am one of the first batch alumni and it hurts to see the place that nurtured us fall. Let us remind the present Chief Minister and the Minister for Human Resources Department of what our institution once was and could be again with the right leadership. Implore them to prioritize the academic integrity of our institution.
