First off, I’d like to thank everyone again for signing this petition. We cannot let this issue go ignored and unanswered, and so far Apple has been doing just that. But they cannot ignore it as long as there are many people experiencing the issue. I would like to do this in the most civil way possible, but they are not receptive to our demands. 

I have attached to this update one of the numerous attempts made by people directly to Apple’s “Support.” Apple simply suggests restarting the device, something we ALL know does not resolve this issue.
