As part of the annual #PoppyAppeal to remember our fallen service men and women, we proudly wear paper poppies, badges and other items.

With each passing year our connection to the sacrifices made by those who went before decreases. Bringing the poppy onto social media will help to renew our national conversation about the history of conflict and sacrifice that has shaped Britain.

We should also be able to express our appreciation and respect to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for Britain by displaying a remembrance poppy emoji.
