Hello supporters, We have reached over 2,000 signatures in only a week's time. I wanted to share the story about an app called “Let’s Talk” to show how your support can really make a difference. The app was created by a non-profit to help troubled teens and prevent youth suicide. “Let’s Talk” has attracted national news attention, as it’s had a significant impact on its users. You can watch the segment here: https://www.today.com/video/new-app-helps-stressed-teens-with-mental-health-concerns-1117395523855 Would this non-profit organization, Alliance of Youth, have had the budget to create this app without an app builder? Do these types of apps not belong in the app store? According to Apple’s recent rejection guidelines, the answer is no, as it was created with a “template”. You can download the app here and decide for yourself: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/letstalk/id1300758165?ls=1&mt=8 We understand that not every small business needs a native app, but they should at least have the option to create iPhone apps in an affordable way. Our hope is to show Apple that these are the types of organizations and businesses that they are putting at a disadvantage with their new App Store guidelines. These organizations are trying to open the door for change and make this (mobile) world a better place. Please help these small businesses and nonprofits by continuing to share this petition. Thank you again for all your support!
