I would like the option to move photos from the main Photos Library into albums, so they are no longer shown in the general library view.

Currently, photos can only be added to albums, which creates aliases – but the original images always remain in the main library. This makes it difficult to tell which photos have already been sorted and which have not.

My request is simple:

• Allow us to move photos into albums in a way that removes them from the main library.
• This would let the library function like an inbox – once everything is sorted, it’s empty.
• Organizing large photo collections would become easier, cleaner, and more satisfying.
• At the same time, there should still be an option to view all photos in one place, like a global overview or smart album.

I think the current system of linking photos to albums is useful in many cases – but users should have the choice to decide when and where to use it.

Please give us more control over how we organize our photos. Let us choose between linking or moving.
