Apple iCal and FORCED Islamic Holidays ...

Did you know that Apple Inc does not allow Apple users to DESELECT Islamic Holidays in iCal? Like Ramadan? Like Eid al-Fitr?

I started seeing these Holidays and looked at iCal Preferences. You can CHOOSE to have Chinese, Hebrew and Islamic Holidays show up. But when you select US Holidays, it includes Islamic. i.e., it's a DEFAULT in "US Holidays."

Since when was Islamic Holidays US Holiday?

I'm a gay atheist with a Jewish lineage. I have no delusions about my status under Sharia Law and Islam. Having to see these hateful holidays appear in my iCal is beyond-the-pale.

I eChatted with Apple support and they looked into it. I was passed to an administrator and he had to go and ask about this. He confirmed ... it's an oversight ... but it's Islam or nothing. I chose nothing.

Please sign my change.org petition to ask Apple to be loyal Americans and remove Islamic Holidays as a defaulted US Holiday and leave it as an option.
