Implementation of the “Salute Emoji”

Implementation of the “Salute Emoji”
The Issue
Have you ever felt like a part of you was missing? Like you’re incomplete in some way? This is how many of us feel every day, but we’ve never truly discovered what we’re missing. That ends now. There are seemingly endless options when it comes to emojis. But when you really think about it... there’s one emoji that would bring us together as a nation: the salute emoji.
Think of how many scenarios could be enhanced by this singular emoji! Everyone has had a moment where they were longing for something more. Something that they have needed all of their life. And this is it; the empty space we’ve been feeling in our hearts. Let’s set the scene: your long lost brother-in-law just left for Afghanistan (something we’re all familiar with). Unfortunately, you won’t see him for the next 8 months. As his plane is leaving, and his cell service is rapidly depleting, you have time to send ONE (1) emoji. Which do you choose in this emotional situation? The crying emoji ? The sad emoji ? The deoxyribonucleic acid emoji ? NO! The one and only appropriate emoji to send is the soon-to-exist salute emoji. It shows emotion. It shows respect. It shows maturity. And of course, this is one of the endless scenarios that the emoji could be used in. How else would you communicate your feelings towards your superiors? Your elders? This nation’s veterans?
