Daniel Hayes started this petition to Apple

Apple iPhones have a ridiculously brief call log.  It holds the last 100 calls at most.  There is no good reason for this.  The new iPhone 12 has up to 512 GIGAbytes of data storage.  Even if you have an older phone that has only 16 GB of memory, that should be able to hold THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of previous calls without any major storage issue.

Why can't there be a toggle added into settings like so many other things that allow you to customize your phone to your needs?

For someone with an active life 100 calls could be gone in as little as a day.  This very short log can result in failure and inability to save a contact if you don't get to it in time.  It's not always convenient to save a number right then.  This can cost time, money, relationships. There is just no good reason that the phone can't hold a considerably larger call log.

This should be a relatively simple fix.  Just a few lines of code on the next update.

Old clunky non-smart phones had much larger call log capabilities than this with much, much less memory available to them.  The text logs of the phone seem unlimited, which include the actual conversations and even images.

WHY

CAN'T

WE

OLD

People have complained about this for years and noting has been done.  Apparently we haven't complained loud enough.

Here it comes.

FIX THIS!
