Apple is a company whose innovation has produced great products which are loved and admired by tens of millions of customers around the world. It has become one of the most valued and profitable companies in the world. You are committed to environmental sustainability by promoting energy efficiency and use of less materials in your manufacturing, creating energy efficient products, using smaller packaging, reducing toxic materials in your products and recycling older products from customers.
Since a decade, the versions of the OS X operating system behind your successful products has been named after the Big Cats - Cheetah, Puma, Jaguar, Panther, Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion and the next version is called Mountain Lion. It is meant to represent the power, speed and beauty of the big cats. Sadly, many of these big cats are endangered or threatened species in the wild - their environment is shrinking due to deforestation and illegal hunting/poaching for body parts and fur is decimating their numbers, they are facing a battle for their very survival in the wild. Being a global leader and one of the most successful companies earning Tens of Billions of Dollars a year, it is your moral obligation to do your part to ensure the very survival of the majestic big cats - the ones your OS X versions are named after. Please spread the word to your customers and the general public about the threats faced by the big cats and contribute annually to wildlife conservation organizations who are fighting to save the big cats and their habitats in the wild.
