Apple is forcing Discord’s hand in enforcing that iOS users will be blocked from joining or using NSFW Discord Servers in the near future. All users on the iOS platform (including those aged 18+) will be blocked from joining and accessing NSFW servers. iOS users aged 18+ will still be able to join and access NSFW communities on the desktop and web versions of Discord. This will severely impact the user base of many businesses creators, and communities using the Discord Platform. There is already a NSFW system in place for Discord that is heavily implemented upon joining. If the goal is to reduce the amount of underage children on these servers then there should be something new implemented, not completely block an entire user base altogether. Blocking media or platforms is definitely a hard ship to sail, we watched what happened to Tumblr after Apple pulled their app from the App Store.
