Telegram has become a hub for criminal and abusive content that goes unchecked. Once known for privacy, it’s now being used to spread child sexual abuse material (CSAM), animal torture videos, terrorist propaganda, misogynistic hate, and revenge porn — all with little to no moderation.

These aren’t isolated incidents. Investigations and reports have shown Telegram is being exploited by predators, extremists, and organized cruelty networks that operate openly using coded language and encrypted chats. Victims — including children and animals — are suffering while Telegram hides behind claims of “privacy” to avoid accountability.

Apple and Google continue to host Telegram in their app stores, giving it legitimacy and global reach. Yet both companies have policies that forbid apps from enabling illegal or harmful content.

We are calling on Apple and Google to:

• Investigate Telegram’s content and moderation failures
• Suspend or remove Telegram from their app stores until it complies with laws and content safety standards
• Require encrypted platforms to prevent criminal use such as CSAM, terrorism, or animal cruelty

This is not about censorship — it’s about safety, responsibility, and human decency. When an app becomes a safe haven for predators and abusers, companies have a moral and legal duty to act.
