I am a citizen of the world who aspires to dignity and peace for all. It is an appeal to all the leaders of Western countries, of all countries who take up arms against the people. To all those who bomb in the name of peace, the innocent regardless of their religion or origin.

 

There are thousands of us, even millions according to the Gallup Institute (2019), who want peace. However, our leaders seem incapable of finding diplomatic mechanisms to calm these conflicts. We are all human brothers with our respective children. We want them to live in a just world.

 

According to the Global Peace Index (2021), the economic cost of violence reached USD 14.96 trillion in 2020 - imagine what we could achieve if these resources were reallocated towards education, health and sustainable development.
